Suzhou Strengthens Family Education
December 13, 2023The Working Committee on Education, under Suzhou Municipal Party (Communist Party of China) Committee, and Suzhou Working Committee on Children and Women in May held a conference to promote Suzhou's work related to the promotion of family education. The event was held in Suzhou, a city in East China's Jiangsu Province. The working committees promulgated a document on how to promote establishment of the family education guidance service system (in Suzhou).
Suzhou Women's Federation and Suzhou Education Bureau recently held a ceremony to mark the official opening of Suzhou Family Education Guidance and Service Center. On the same day, the federation and the bureau held a seminar, during which the organizations' officials, family education experts and heads of social organizations discussed how to improve the family education work, at the grass-roots level across Suzhou.
Xu Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Working Committee on Education, under Suzhou Municipal Party Committee, analyzed the various problems related to family education. To promote social governance, he suggested efforts should be made to strengthen work related to improving family education. Xu also said he hoped social organizations (in Suzhou) would help promote family education.
Zhu Min, Director of the Office of the Suzhou Working Committee on Children and Women, said she hoped communities (in Suzhou) would make greater efforts to help parents solve difficulties in family education. She also said she hoped families, schools and society would work together to foster children's healthy growth and development.
Heads of some social organizations (dedicated to promoting family education), incubated by Suzhou Women and Children's Activity Center, shared their experiences in conducting work related to promoting family education. They also offered suggestions on how to promote high-quality development of family education in Suzhou.
